About the Ladies Poker Tour

The Betfred Ladies Poker Tour is the UK's only all-female poker tour and is now in its second year. This year the tour is bigger and better, visiting eight casinos and card rooms, and culminating in the Grand Final in November.

Entry to each event costs £100, plus a £10 casino/card room administration fee, and Betfred are running exclusive online satellites at www.betfredpoker.com as follows:

Every Monday, Wednesday and Sunday BLPT $2 + $0.20 re-buy, one seat for every $24 in the prize pool to the BLPT Super Sat.

Betfred are adding £1,000 to the prize pool of each regional event and £5,000 to the Grand Final prize pool.

Each regional heat winner will gain a seat in the Grand Final and the eventual winner will be crowned 'Betfred Ladies Poker Tour Champion 2008' and will win a £20,000 sponsorship package from Betfred for 2009. Last year's winner, Lynne Beaumont, has continued her success this year and is doing exceptionally well in Betfred colours. Lynne qualified for last year's final by finishing top of the points leaderboard and this year we will be offering two non-event winners a seat in the final by finishing high in the point. Once again, the tour is supported by www.rockpokeronline.com who are providing live online updates from each event, as well as supplying the tournament director in Malcolm 'The Rock' Harwood.

Betfred owner Fred Done was delighted with the success of last year's Tour and believes that Lynne Beaumont is a great ambassador for the company and the Tour.

"Last year's tour was a huge success and we learnt alot along the way so we are sure that this year's event will be bigger and better in every respect. We found a great player in Lynne last year so I am now looking for the next lady to take up the mantle of the UK's best female poker player".
